Y Su Historia
- 1990
Melter S.A de C.V. Founded with the objective of serving water-cooled components demand from the national and international Steel Industry.
- 1993
The Italian company RavagnanS.p.A. joins as a partner, providing a strong support for Melter’s growth plan.
- 1999
Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels division starts with human and technical support from Ravagnan. Melter obtainedASME “U” Stamp Certification. This was the starting point to get the certification with the National Board “R” Stamp, also with ASME “S” Stamp and ISO 9001-2000. Certifications we currently maintain.
- 2005
Starts the construction of the Formed Heads facility and acquisition of capital equipment from a leading Italian supplier.
- 2008
Melter launches operations of the Heat Recuperators and Air Coolers division.
- 2010
The Process Equipment facility starts operations for the manufacturing of Heat Exchangers and Pressure Vessels.
- 2011
Inauguration of the 65′ Modular Heat Treatment furnace.
- 2013
Melter achieves the American Customs and Border Protection Agency’s C-TPAT certification.
- 2014
Inauguration of the 43,000 ft^2 Process Equipment facility expansion. Half of this expansion houses the Stainless Steel work section and the other half the extended machine shop.
Currently, over 50% of our production is exported to the USA, Canada, Central America and the Northern section of South America. Melter is organized in the following divisions:
